Click Scolmore’s wiring accessory products have been installed in what have been described as some of the highest specification apartments in Manchester city centre.
The Ice Plant is a £12million flagship apartment scheme recently completed by Manchester developer, northerngroup, in the heart of Ancoats. Combining original features of Ancoats’ historic ice-making warehouse with three new-build blocks, the scheme features 82 high specification one, two and three bedroom apartments, designed to bring a European approach to renting in Manchester.
Scolmore’s Define ultra-slim, flat-plate switches and sockets in a pearl nickel finish have been installed in all 82 apartments, while the company’s Mode range of contemporary and flexible smooth profile plates have been used throughout all the communal areas. All Exit signs installed throughout the building are from Scolmore’s LED lighting range.
Northerngroup’s director Nathan Ezair said: “each spacious apartment features high quality ceramic flooring, deep-pile carpets in the bedrooms, designer Porcelanosa bathrooms and German-made Siematic kitchens. When deciding on the wiring accessories and lighting products we wanted to maintain the high level of specification that is evident throughout and we were confident that the Scolmore range would be in keeping with the luxurious feel of this unique development. We have specified Scolmore products on a number of other developments and can vouch for the quality and aesthetic appeal that the ranges offer.”
The Ice Plant development is a stone’s throw from the bars and restaurants of the Northern Quarter and overlooks the new Cutting Room Square and St Peter’s Church. It has five glass-fronted, flexible ground level retail/commercial units.
